LGAI Launches the Citizens Savings & Efficiency Platform™: A Structured Menu of Savings Local Governments Can Implement — and Citizens Can Demand
Platform publishes six core opportunity areas with specific tactics, real-world benchmarks, and estimated savings ranges for reducing bureaucratic cost without cutting essential services
Jurisdiction-specific financial modeling capability in active development
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Local Government Accountability (LGAI) today launched the complete edition of its Citizens Savings & Efficiency Platform™, the organization’s engine for converting forensic financial analysis into prioritized, dollar-quantified savings recommendations for local governments.
Where traditional audits identify problems and stop, the Platform is built to deliver solutions: a structured Efficiency Menu spanning six core areas — technology and automation, workforce and compensation optimization, procurement and contracting reform, service delivery redesign, debt and capital management, and administrative process streamlining. Each area carries specific tactics, documented benchmarks from governments that have already implemented them, and estimated annual savings ranges, sequenced into a phased implementation roadmap.
“Criticism without a plan is just noise. The Platform is the plan. When our investigations show a community what its government’s record actually is, the Platform shows that same community — and its officials — the concrete path to lower costs, restructured debt, and better services. Investigation finds the problem. The Platform fixes it.”
— LGAI Executive Director
The Platform draws its benchmarks from LGAI’s published case-study research on state and local automation deployments and applies the same restructuring discipline the founding team practiced across decades in capital markets. A full variable-input financial model generating jurisdiction-specific savings projections is in active development.
